Andre Rieu Returns to Nebraska

Acclaimed Dutch violinist and conductor Andre Rieu will perform at the Qwest Center in Omaha on May 25, 2009. Public Broadcasting Strikes Her Fancy
Lois Kammerlohr, of Beatrice, enjoys a wide variety of interests, and strikes and strings -- that is, baseball and classical music -- top her list. The 76-year-old is loyal to the Kansas City Royals, but she also has another favorite: the Beatrice Bruins. She calls the semi-pro baseball team Beatrice’s best-kept secret; every summer Lois hosts one or two players in her home. “They are great, nice boys, polite, they help me out around the house,” she says of the players.
