About the NET Foundation for Television
and the
NET Foundation for Radio
The NET Foundation for Television, Inc., and the NET Foundation for Radio, Inc., are the statewide nonprofit 501(c)(3) citizen support organizations chartered to support excellence in programming on NET Television and NET Radio.
That's a sophisticated way to say, quite simply, that the Foundations raise money to support NET.
While state and federal dollars support the infrastructure of NET - the hardware, software, transmission towers and buildings -- private contributions to the NET Foundation for Television and the NET Foundation for Radio support our programming - from national favorites like "Masterpiece Theatre," "NOVA," "All Things Considered" and "A Prairie Home Companion" to local productions spotlighting Nebraska, like "Backyard Farmer," "Big Red Wrap-Up" and "Live From The Mill Statewide" (NET Radio).
NET is truly a public broadcasting network - a community resource that has served Nebraskans for more than 50 years. And for all of our services, we depend on the public for support.
In fact, nearly half of NET's budget comes through the Foundations through private donations - contributions from Nebraskans like you.
So thank you - NET would not exist without you!
