Nebraska Connects: Are You Man Enough?, Part I

(1-20-04) Governor Mike Johanns proposes spending ten-and-a-half million dollars over the next two years to protect children, particularly from domestic abuse. This plan is a direct result of public horror at the discovery that 33 Nebraska children died at the hands of a family member or friend in the last five years. Over the next two weeks, NPRN will explore a factor tying many of these deaths together—violent, abusive behavior among men. Our series is called Nebraska Connects: Are You Man Enough? Today, Carolyn Johnsen reports on how experts believe boys become violent men.
